Justice Nest has commenced its Annual Prison Paralegal Refresher Training, bringing together paralegals from Shimo La Tewa Maximum, Medium, and Women’s Prisons through an online learning platform. The training focuses on strengthening legal knowledge, skills, and ethical practice within prison justice settings.
Running concurrently is the QualityRights Mental Health Awareness Training, a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative aimed at promoting human rights, dignity, and recovery-oriented approaches to mental health. This internal training is being conducted in partnership with Basic Needs and Basic Rights Organization and is open to all Justice Nest members.
Both trainings were officially opened by Justice Nest Founder and Executive Director, Miriam, who underscored the importance of continuous learning, mental well-being, and rights-based justice interventions.
Through these initiatives, Justice Nest continues to invest in capacity-building that strengthens access to justice while centering human dignity and mental health.
